You can permanently delete your Behive Stays account and your data at any time. There are two ways: from inside the app (immediate), or by email if you can no longer sign in.
Option 1 — In the app (immediate)
- Open Behive Stays and sign in.
- Open the Settings tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap “Delete my account & data”.
- Confirm when asked. Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.
No waiting period, no support ticket. The deletion happens the moment you confirm.
Option 2 — By email
If you have lost access to the app or can no longer sign in, email us:
Send it from the email address registered on your account, with the subject “Delete my Behive Stays account”. Include the name of your hostel so we can locate the right record.
- We verify the request came from the registered address.
- We confirm by reply, then delete the account.
- Completed within 30 days of a verified request, and usually within 7 days.
We may ask one follow-up question to confirm your identity. We will never ask you for your password.
What is deleted
Deleted permanently and immediately:
- Your account and login credentials
- Your profile — name, email address, room and floor
- Your attendance and check-in records, including the check-in photos of your face
- Your meal opt-ins and meal collection history
- Your library loan history
What is kept
Kept by your hostel, but with your identity permanently removed so the records can no longer be linked to you:
- Complaints you raised — your hostel keeps its maintenance history.
- Billing records — your hostel keeps its financial records, as it is generally required to.
These become anonymous rows. Your name, email and account reference are erased from them.
This cannot be undone. There is no grace period, no archive and no way to restore a deleted account. If you return to a hostel later, you will need a new account.
Hostel owner accounts
If you are a hostel owner, the in-app button is intentionally disabled: deleting your account would destroy the records of every resident in your hostel.
To close a hostel, email theprojectarkco@gmail.com from your registered address. We will confirm what will be removed, and who it affects, before deleting anything.
Staff accounts
Staff and warden accounts can be deleted using Option 1 or Option 2 above. Your hostel owner can also revoke your access at any time without deleting your account.
